☀️ How to Discover and Live Your Purpose

Inside: Danny Miranda, Host of the Podcast The Danny Miranda Show

The word “purpose” is a loaded one.

I feel like I spent a lot of my late teens and early twenties thinking about it, and had always felt helpless and anxious approaching the seemingly impossible task of finding it. At one point, I had just stopped thinking about it.

Due to the circumstances I found myself in, I made the conscious choice to “grow up” and pursue a job that offered practicality, promising career advancement, and financial stability. But after recent few years of being an entrepreneur and expanding myself through a lot of self-expression, I find myself returning full circle, mustering the courage to revisit the word and what it represents for me. It is at this juncture that I couldn't envision a more fitting podcast guest to delve into this transformative journey with.

This past week, I spoke to Danny Miranda (@heydannymiranda), the host of The Danny Miranda Show and creator of The Art of Interviewing course.

On today's episode you'll learn:

  • 🎙️ The Transformational Force of Podcasting

  • ☀️ The Power of Belief and Manifestation

  • 🏔️ How to Overcome Doubt and Setbacks

  • ✨ Importance of Self-Belief

Here are a few juicy excerpts from today's episode to get you flowing:

Why Podcasting Makes Us Better Humans: "The person who traveled all their lives is going to have more kindness to more different ways of living than the person who stays in their hometown, generally speaking. And the reason why is because they've seen more so that they can hold more ideas in their head at the same time without losing their mind. And podcasting is a way to travel to each individual place because every person you interview or talk to or interact with is another country you're going to, is another place you're going to, which increases your consciousness as a human being.” — Danny Miranda (42:41)

How to Win Even If You Lose: "How do you win even if you lose? And what I mean by that is that I started the podcast understanding that I could lose. Lose meaning no one could watch, no one could care, no one could value it at all. But would that still be a win for me. And the answer is yes…If you can think about that, if you can sit on that, it starts allowing you to play more infinite games and it starts allowing you to play games that are more in alignment with Who the person you wanna be" — Danny Miranda (35:39)

👀 Come to My Senses

Every week, I round up all sorts of interesting things that I found on the internet that engaged with each of my five senses (sight, smell, touch, sound, taste). Enjoy!

  • Scavengers Reign is the best TV show I’ve seen in a while. If you have Max and enjoy sci-fi, animation, this show is a must-watch!

  • Recently, I’ve been enjoying burning Palo Santo in my home. I’m a big fan of its bright, sweet, piney, and almost lemony scent!

  • This week I’ve been touching a lot of grass and it feels great. I’m reminded of all the health benefits of doing so!

  • I’m a big believer in affirmations and recently I’ve been listening to a lot more of them on Spotify. Here’s one on self-love that I’ve been enjoying recently.

  • Last night I cooked a coconut fish and tomato bake that my brother and his wife seemed to really enjoy!
