☀️ Here's why you should ask for help
My journey of learning to ask for more help and the growth that resulted from it + a big announcement
It took me a long time to realize that “asking for help” is one of the most underrated skill sets and can be one of the most powerful ways of growing.
For the longest time, I pride myself on someone who doesn’t need to ask a lot of people for help. When it comes to work, learning a new skill set, and now all the things I do as an entrepreneur and coach, I often hold my independence and self-reliance up as a badge of honor. It used to bring me a lot of pride to feel like I could accomplish everything all by myself.
But over the years, I’ve noticed something shifted inside of me.
There is a profound realization that I want to do and try a lot of things, and in order for me to get there, have the same amount of fun doing it, and also not feel lonely in the process, I needed to open myself up more and learn to ask for help more.
So I started practicing. It started small like asking people to give me feedback on something. Then it led to me being more comfortable asking my coachees for video testimonials.
And slowly and slowly, I began to understand two big truths:
We are never alone and there are so many people who want to be there to support and help us.
The “Ask” isn’t about being needy or even being salesy, it’s about being vulnerable, humble, and open to the frightening idea of working with or connecting more deeply with other individuals.
Recently, I have been embracing making the “ask” more, especially in areas that I still feel incredibly uncomfortable in.
Here is a recent big ask I made:
And this leads me to a big announcement…
Announcements
I am starting a podcast called Joy of Building! 🎉
In this podcast, I want to highlight the stories of creators and makers and discuss the profound transformation that occurs while building something. Through the podcast, I hope to inspire more people to take the leap to start building things, even for the joy of it.
Ever since I lost my job and started building things, I have gone on this incredible transformational journey that made me more joyful, feel more authentic, and have an increasing amount of self-love for myself and I just have a deep desire to want that for others as well.
I have already scheduled and booked 3 guests for the upcoming months. There is still definitely some fear and a lot of things to figure out, but I’m incredibly excited about it and I will be sharing my journey with you all.
Here is my ask for you:
I am currently looking for more guests to be interviewed.
If you or know someone who would be interested in being a guest on a podcast show like this, please reply and let me know!

It helped address all my fears and limiting beliefs around the what and whys of launching one, and it has quickly become one of the best investments I’ve made this year so far. We are just wrapping up our first cohort, but if you are interested in joining the second one, make sure you apply here.
