Inside: Reflections, wisdom, and book quotes that have shaped my journey

I turned 32 yesterday.

Here are 32 pieces of advice I would give to my younger self (including quotes from books that have left an impression on me) in no particular order.

  1. Before you can learn to receive love from others, you need to learn to love yourself first

  2. Acceptance of your full self means accepting all parts of you, and allowing all parts to coexist despite all the contradictions.

  3. You are enough, just the way you are.

  7. “He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how” (from Man's Search for Meaning)

  8. Silence and stillness are your best friends. Get to know them early and invest time into that relationship, and they will have your back for the rest of your life.

  20. Listen to albums, not tracks.

  21. You are absolutely creative. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

  22. It's okay to not be liked. I know it hurts to be rejected and excluded, but I promise you that it's all going to be okay.
